The Noosa Everglades hold barely two percent of the planet's everglades ecosystems, sharing classification only with Florida's subtropical wetlands and Chile's Magellanic rainforests.
Framed within Great Sandy National Park, this 60-kilometre network of tea-stained channels threads through Cooloola's coastal lowlands, where tannin-rich water drains from banksia heaths and melaleuca thickets into Lake Cootharaba.
